If you are coming from the D.C area and trying to get to either the Comfort Suites or the Hilton Garden Inn, follow the “SCENIC” directions below, but when you get to Rt 250 make a right instead of a left. The hotels are within a mile on your right and left.
If you are coming from the Northeast take I95 to the DC beltway, I495 West. Then take I66 West and follow the directions below.
If you are coming from Western PA, get to Breezewood, PA and follow these DIRECTIONS from google.
If you are coming from Ohio there are many ways. I would probably suggest going past Pittsburgh down the turnpike and follow the directions from Breezewood above. There are a few routes though West Virginia that are a little risky as far as time because they use two lane roads through the mountains, although they are beautiful drives.

Take Exit 124, Shadwell
Turn Left at the light, onto 250 East
Turn Right onto Route 729, North Milton Road
Clifton is the second driveway on the left
From Lynchburg/ Roanoke / Danville
Travel on Highway 29 North
Take Interstate 64 East
Take Exit 124, Shadwell
Turn Right at the light, onto 250 East
Turn Right onto Route 729, North Milton Road

From Charlotte, via Greensboro
Travel to Greensboro on Interstate 85 North
Follow directions for Lynchburg/ Roanoke/ Danville
From Washington DC (Direct Route)
Travel on Interstate 66 West to Gainesville
Travel Highway 29 South to Charlottesville
Take Route 250 East 7 miles
Turn Right onto Route 729, North Milton Road

Take Route 15 South to Gordonsville
Take Route 231 South to Shadwell (will become Route 22 – - do not turn)

From Baltimore & points North, via Washington, D.C.
Travel on Interstate 95 South
Take Interstate 495 Beltway,
To “Chevy Chase / Sliver Spring”
Follow directions for Washington, D.C.
From Charlottesville Airport (Direct Route)
Highway 29 South to Route 250
Bypass East for 7 miles
Turn Right onto 729, North Milton Road
Clifton is the second driveway on the left
From Charlottesville Airport (Scenic Route)
Leave Airport and cross over 29 to Proffitt Road, take to end at Route 20.
Turn Right to go South onto Route 20 all the way to 250 East. Follow directions above.
